Do you have an Employee Assistance Program (EAP)?

When we start helping clients with HR, they usually don't know if they have this or not. I often hear, "What is it?"

An EAP is a confidential counseling benefit provided by the company (normally as part of the existing benefits package).

Most EAP programs include unlimited phone and online support and up to 3 in-person counseling sessions for your employees AND their immediate family members.

Marriage trouble? Stress? Anxiety? Depression? Parenting challenges? Grief or loss? Elder care issues?  Addiction concerns?  It's all covered.

We all have personal problems. If you're not already sharing the EAP access information with your employees and encouraging them to take advantage of the benefit, which is delivered to them at no cost, please make the information available.

I've met many successful people who told me after the fact how much the EAP helped them when they needed it.  If you don't think you have one, ask your broker. You might be surprised to find out that you've had it the whole time.

Each employee is different and how they handle stress in their lives will vary. An EAP can meet them where they are. To talk to us about EAPs or other employee resources, fill out the form below.
